Editor's note: Tiger Woods earned his fourth victory of the 2008 season, his seventh victory at Torrey Pines Golf Course and his 14th major title on Monday after a 19-hole playoff for the U.S. Open Championship with Rocco Mediate. Here are some of the e-mails PGATOUR.com received congratulating him.

Congrats, Mr. Woods, on a very hard-fought victory. I hope to see you play at the last two majors and in Atlanta at THE TOUR Championship. Christopher

Congratulations, Tiger! You constantly amaze your fans. That was the best, and I am so happy for you. I was delighted to see Elin and Sam there to greet you. I have tickets for the Buick Open as I hoped to see you in person for the first time. It seems that you will be resting your knee and won't be there. I hope I get to see you once in my lifetime. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sepa

Hi, Tiger. I'm from Colombia, and I just can say that you're amazing. You're the best athlete that I've ever seen. Congratulations, and someday come to Colombia to play in the Bogota Country Club. David

Congratulations. Admire your courage and determination plus strong will power. Fantastic, but please take care of your leg. Looking forward to a healthy recovery. Khoo

Congrats on No. 14 and counting. Heroic performance. Hope you get 100% healthy soon. Evelyn

Hi Tiger, from me and my son, Mckay, who is Sinbad at Universal Orlando. What a Father's Day you gave us. Your father Earl is still smiling. Your determination to win through all the adversity and pain in the knee was a true inspiration. I and all of the watching world will never forget those moments of true excitement you gave us. Take care of yourself and that knee now. We will look forward to your return. Sincerely, John

Tiger, it is a thrill to watch you play golf. I always root for you to win. I have had the pleasure of seeing you at Bethpage and the Buick Open in Westchester and hope to see you again soon. You are the best. Congratulations. Now it's time to rest and let your knee recover. Rosemarie

Tiger, on Monday there were people watching you from their cell phones on the street and bunches of people in cubicles at work. My retired in-laws watched from their living room, and they never watched golf before in their lifetime. You have brought golf to the next level in this country and around the world. Congratulations on achieving the impossible on the course and within day-to-day life. Chris

Tiger, you are the man. I love your motivation. Hope to be able to watch you at the British. Michael

I'm still sitting here shaking my head in amazement. All I can say is congrats on a job well done. Al

Congrats, Tiger, on your Open win. I knew you'd find a way to get it done! Good luck on No. 15 at the British Open. I hope your knee is better by then. Jerry

Truly a turning point in your great career. It brought tears to my eyes to see you fight through the pain in your knee. I will be a fan forever after that performance. Alan

Tiger, you are the ultimate athlete that I witnessed so far. It is a privilege to have seen you play golf. Wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors. Ragu

It is with the utmost appreciation that I say "Congratulations!" Besides your obvious golf accomplishments and position in golf history, I have been most impressed with your decorum. You are truly a gentleman! Arthur

Congrats, Tiger! I was watching from the 18th hole grandstand with my girlfriend. Just before you were going to putt from 4 feet to force sudden death, a seagull flew over the green. You had the presence to back up and re-address your putt. Do you belive the seagull was a sign from your Dad saying you're going to make it, and I'm watching? I'm not sure I believe in that stuff, but it makes me wonder. I lost my mom to cancer about a year and a half ago, and I see signs at times. David
